Abstract

The aim of this study is to test the hypothesis that distinct of P. gingivalis strains differ in capacity for colonisation of the oral cavity and distant sites and determine the effect of probiotic strains of the genus Lactobacillus on colonization systemic and oral of P. gingivalis capsulated and non-capsulated in experimental periodontitis model using two strains of P. gingivalis. The effect of oral administration of L. acidophilusLA5 and L. rhamnosusLR32 on P. gingivalis levels will be determined in mice C57Bl6 submitted to experimental periodontitis induced by oral infection visa [P. gingivalis ATCC 33277 (strain fimbriada, fimA genotype 1), and cepa W83 (capsulated, fimA genotype IV)]; Prevotella intermedia, F.nucleatum ssp. Nucleatum ATCC 25586 e S. gordoniiDL1). After 42 days, will be held the euthanasia, collected oral biofilm samples, blood, gingival tissue, liver, spleen, intestine, and brain and will be assessed the total levels of p. gingivalis (W83 + ATCC 33277) and cepa capsulated (W83, fimA genotype IV), by PCR quantitative.
