Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between the materials involved in the fabrication of the self-rolled capacitors and its electrical and dielectric properties. Objectively, the project will seek to increase the capacitance of ultracompact hybrid capacitors and, simultaneously, to control the leakage currents. In this direction, as a methodology, we will investigate the distribution of depleted charges at the relevant interfaces of the devices. Initially, we will evaluate the interfaces between the metals used in the devices (Au, Cr, Ni) with the organic layers (CuPc) and the insulators (SiO2, Al2O3, and TiO2) deposited by ALD will be evaluated.
