Abstract

Alda Lodi was an important person in the teaching milieu of Minas Gerais and in the panorama of the international exchanges and circulation of pedagogical models between the USA and Brazil. As an educator she took an internship at the Columbia University Teachers College and was very active in the School of Improvement in Belo Horizonte. There are already some studies on the trajectory of this teacher as well as references on her contributions to teaching mathematics. However, there is a need for investigations in the Alda Lodi Personal Archive, so that it is possible to analyze in more depth the processes systematized by this teacher, which had repercussion in teacher training, in mathematics teaching and in the trajectory of mathematical elaboration for teaching. Postdoctoral fellowship candidates should demonstrate in their academic curriculum productions within the history of mathematics education. The researcher approved in the selection process will do internships in Belo Horizonte, MG, to work with the collection of Alda Lodi as well as participation at GHEMAT-SP, in São Paulo, Brazil, with the other researchers of the Thematic Project.
