Abstract

The project turns to a three-month internship at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris, France), under the supervision of Professor Alexandre Surrallés. It is a program of studies and academic activities that will contribute qualitatively to the research that I am currently developing in Brazil with the support of FAPESP, entitled "On middle ground: environmental impasses and caiçara displacements in Jureia (SP)". During my stay at EHESS, I hope to focus on my research on the subject of territoriality and the constitution of landscapes by non-modern ontologies in order to experience the intellectual life of the university and its research in the field of anthropological theory of perception and attachments with the environment. The main objective is to take advantage of the opportunity to have the academic guidance of Surrallés to make significant progress in my research on the main aspects of his theoretical work in the field of Amerindian ethnology and his team, which works to expand research on the subject of territory and affection for other ethnographic fields of indigenous peoples. To do this, I'll take advantage of a three-month research period that includes readings and a set of research questions. I intend to present the results of this rich academic experience in a final report. (AU)
