Abstract

In adverse environmental conditions such as strong winds and storms, the aerial distribution networks begin to operate in precarious conditions, subject to numerous shutdowns due to the short circuits caused by the combination of different factors such as strong winds, lightning and contact of the vegetation on the energized lines. In this research project, it is proposed to develop a methodology for a robust solution based on metaheuristics for the network restoration problem considering the new devices and trends for the distribution systems. The objective is to consider conditions of multiple faults caused by unfavorable climatic conditions. (AU)
