Abstract
This research project has the objective of developing and computationally implementing methods of analysis and optimization for a range of electric power systems problems, especially problems related to transmission and distribution systems. The Power Systems Planning Laboratory (LAPSEE) of the DEE-FEIS-UNESP performs, since more than 20 years ago, research involving analysis of circuit models and mathematical optimization to develop mathematical models and solution techniques for the operation and planning of many problems related to the transmission and distribution of electricity. Therefore, in this project, we present a research proposal addressing various topics of analysis and mathematical optimization that are related, and represent relevant issues of interest in academic level and for electric utilities in Brazil. The research group consists of the project coordinator, Dr. Rubén Augusto Romero Lázaro, professor in the DEE-FEIS-UNESP, and three more professors in the DEE, by undergraduate, master, and doctoral students, and also post-doctoral students.
