Abstract

The present research project intends to ideally and computationally implement a generalized constructive heuristic algorithm applied to the problem of reconfiguration of primary feeders in radial distribution power systems.Thus, it is intended to generalize a constructive algorithm of efficient performance existing in the specialized literature. The proposal is conceptually simple, but unprecedented in the specialized literature. The proposed algorithm assumes a branch and bound tree structure, but it is not a conventional branch and bound algorithm. An efficient performance of the suggested optimization proposal is expected, especially in the application for large systems. For this type of systems, excellent quality solutions can be found in short computational times. As part of the research project, a specialized load flow algorithm for slightly meshed systems must also be implemented to analyze each proposed solution for the generalized constructive heuristic algorithm.
