Abstract

In the context of the electric mobility research and development (R&D) project managed by CPFL and coordinated by the CPqD Foundation, called Platform for Intelligent Urban Environments and Enabling Business Models, one of the most important activities is the management and orchestration of distributed and centralized resources to provide smart recharge services for electric vehicles in the Campinas region. Therefore, this research project has as its initial objective the development of a hierarchical control algorithm for smart management of distributed electrical resources (DERs) and charging stations (CSs) that can be monitored and controlled through the Internet of Things (IoT) platform of the R&D Project. On the other hand, the project also contemplates the development of a centralized control for the definition of policies for: DERs operating limit, price signs for CSs, and navigation of the long-term operation. Finally, the software prototype of the hierarchical algorithm will be integrated into the IoT platform of the R&D project and computational efficiency, scalability, and functionalities of the accepted algorithm.
