Abstract

Microgrids are playing an increasing role in the conceptual evolution of the traditional electrical system towards a more decentralized and modern grid. The great advantage exploited by microgrids is the integration of different technologies, such as: distributed renewable sources (solar, wind, hydrogen, biogas), energy storage (batteries, flywheels), demand management (energy efficiency, demand response), intelligent metering and sensing, electric vehicles, advanced communication systems, optimization of distributed resources, among others. Microgrids emerge with the main function of coordinating and merging different technologies (with different levels of technical and commercial maturity) in a single platform. In this context, LabREI is the Laboratory of Intelligent Electric Grids installed in FEEC, UNICAMP, and has several equipment, meters and simulators for the operation and simulation of microgrids. For the LabREI microgrid to work correctly, there must be a coordinated operation among the generation sources, the energy storage system and demand management. Different approaches have been proposed to overcome these problems, with the aim of increasing the resilience and robustness of the network, but they also increase the complexity of its control. This scientific initiation research project aims to implement heuristic strategies based on rules in the steady state operation of LabREI, which allows a reliable, efficient, and robust operation of the microgrid, taking into account different scenarios of load, photovoltaic generation and operation mode, through the P&D MERGE project - Microgrids for Efficient, Reliable and Greener Energy, and considering the inclusion in the ongoing thematic project FAPESP 2021/11380-5.
