Abstract

The objective of this research project is to analyze the attribution of mental (or personal) states to others in the context of the "Second Person Externalism" (Gomila, 2001; Pérez, 2013) from second-person relationships mediated by wearable computing technologies. Thus, (1) we will analyze the concept of "person" proposed by Liñan et al., (2017), for whom the ability to become emotionally contagious causes human agents to consider one another as "one of theirs" and, consequently, as a person; (2) we will investigate possible consequences of the widespread use of wearable computing technologies in the processes of constitution of the personhood from an externalist perspective of person.
