Abstract

A "smartgrid" can be defined as an electrical network in which, through a communication network, there is access to the control of distributed loads and generators. This allows coordinated management of the entire network, with the operational objective of guaranteeing the supply and quality of energy according to specific standards. The network can be formed by different buses, DC and AC, with different values of voltage or even frequency. This IC project proposes the study, by means of simulation, of power converters considering the peculiar characteristics of such networks and the respective standards of operation and quality.
