Abstract

The proposed research intends, in general lines, to investigate and to understand the the aesthetic conception of the costume in the plays Einstein on the beach (1976) and Shakespeare sonnets (2009) of Robert Wilson. The study will be divided into three parts. In the first stage, the work of Robert Wilson will be presented, contextualizing and reflecting on its influences, characteristics, relevance and its role in the world theatrical scenario. In the next stage it will be discussed how the director works the costumes and what are their particularities. In the third phase the research proposes to present, contextualize and analyze in detail the plays Einstein on the beach (1976) and Shakespeare sonnets (2009) and, especially, the costumes worn by each character.
