Abstract Urban transformations since the 1980s place the capital of São Paulo on the spotlight that illuminates social and economic problems. With the approval in 2017 of the new land regularization legislation - Federal Law n. 13.467 / 2017 - the issue of the claim for decent housing and the claim for the right to the city are even more in dispute due to the dismantling of the character of resistance potentially linked to land regularization processes. This process of dismantling is very intense when it comes to the central region of the city of São Paulo, especially the Campos Elísios - chosen as a case study. (AU) | |
