Abstract

The present project aims to verticalize the research that has been developed in the ECA/USP Performing Arts Postgraduate Program on the concepts of representation and representativeness in the contemporary scene. Through the contact between the material collected during the creation of the play Refúgio, new work by Cia. Marginal that will address the issue of Angolan immigration at the Complexo da Maré, Rio de Janeiro, and the research developed by researcher Óscar Cornago at the Conselho Superior de Investigações Científicas, in Madrid, it is expected that new possible links between the work investigated and the research of the theorist on the public dimension of the theatrical experience show up. It is also planned the participation in part of the discipline taught by Cornago in the Máster en Práctica Escénica y Cultura Visual of UCLM - Museu Reina Sofia, as well as the participation in the meetings of the research group ARTEA, group coordinated by the theorist José A. Sánchez and of which Cornago is a collaborator. It is hoped that through such initiatives and through the contact with other researchers occur a significant expansion of the bibliography proposed in this study and also the construction of a broader understanding of the ways in which representativeness takes place in Cia. Marginal's work and around it. This internship also intends to the significantly internationalize this research through the publication of the results obtained during the internship period in a Spanish language article.
