Abstract

With the development and optimization of the obtaining process of two dimensional (2D) materials, the focus now has been on the regrouping of them in a controlled and combined way, as in the van der Waals heterostructures. Each 2D material has particular characteristics and, considering the amount of new materials already discovered and still under analysis, there is a huge relevance of the research in the different segments of science. However, to the greater interest of the scientific community, when associated with others, 2D materials may present other new characteristics and applications. Because of this, the construction of van der Waals heterostructures with graphene and h-BN has been motivated by the possibility of developing devices with exceptional electronic and photonic properties. Basically, these are produced through the controlled stacking of these 2D materials, and the choice and development of the transfer and characterization method are crucial for their construction. Therefore, this project will have as principle the determination of a sequence of efficient methods that allows the objectives of designing and testing each step of the construction of a heterostructure and characterization of its electrical and photonic properties.
