Abstract

The dry period after an herbicide application, the presence of straw and the amount of rain that occurs after this period are extremely important factors for the correct positioning of herbicides. In this way, the present study aims to evaluate the influence of different periods of indaziflam, amicarbazone and tebuthiuron herbicides on sugarcane straw and soil, before rainfall, on the control effectiveness of Digitaria horizontalis. The experimental design was completely randomized, for each herbicide, in a 3 x 5 scheme, with four replications, three rainfall simulations (0, 10 and 20 mm) and five dry periods (0, 10, 20, 40 and 60 days after application), in addition to controls without application of the product. Six separate experiments will be done taking into account each herbicide applied at the commercial dose on soil without straw and with 10 t ha-1 of straw deposited on the surface. The emergence, percentage of control and development of weed in each treatment will be evaluated. (AU)
