Abstract

The current research project has the goal of studying the city of Bauru (SP) and the analysis of the implementation of the program "My House, My Life", covering the periods of 2009-2015, since the launching of the program until the conclusion of its second phase. The selected spacial segment - the city of Bauru - represents the interior of São Paulo state and the medium size cities, as privileged locus for the realization of the "My House, My Life" program. This case study intends to contribute to the overall evaluation of the content, the contradictions and the impacts of this program, critically analyzing its urban and habitational aspects. The idea is to examine the role of the local government in the implementation of the program, relating it to the municipal urban legislation (notably its Master Plan and its instrument of Special Areas of Social Interest), besides analyzing the spatial insertion patterns of the housing developments and the impacts and eventual changes in the urban configuration resulting from its implementation.
