Abstract

Issues related to sleep and to how people sleep have gained more importance nowadays. Studies points to poor sleep quality among university students, indicating that stress may be one of the important predictors. This study aims to evaluate sleep habits in psychology students of a public university. A quantitative, descriptive-exploratory cross-sectional study with a convenience sample will be performed. Participants will be students from the five years psychology course of a public university. The criteria for inclusion will be: to be enrolled as a regular student in the Psychology course of the selected institution; be present in the classroom at the time of data collection; be over 18 years of age. The instruments used will be: 1) Questionnaire for University Students, prepared to collect information about participants' worldviews, health, sleep and socio-demographic data. 2) Perceived Stress Scale - PPS-10. Data collection will be conducted in the classroom. The estimated time to respond to the protocol is around 15 minutes. Descriptive and inferential analyzes of the data will be performed.
