Abstract

The fifth generation of wireless systems 5G,will represent the next information technology revolution by improving not only the data rates, but also extremely high capacity, high efficiency, extremely low latency, among other things. In this sense, 5G will accomplish paradigms such as Internet of Things (IoT) and the Industry 4.0. However, with the massive growth of devices, the network needs to become autonomous, thus the development of energy-efficient technologies is crucial. The technique so-called Energy Harvesting (EH) has attracted attention as a solution to provide sustainability for future wireless networks, particularly, EH is based on the use of radio frequency waves as a power source and has emerged as one of the most suitable solutions. In this sense, this technology will enable the transmition of information and energy simultaneously, which can result in several benefits and enhance many expectations for 5G and future generations. Beyond that, considering a network with secrecy constraints, it is possible to optimize the energy efficiency and improve the safety of the communication. In this sense, this project will analyze the technique of Power Splitting (PS) to transmit information and energy simultaneously, considering a cooperative network where there lay is a node with power limitations. Furthermore, it is considered that there are multiples passive eavesdroppers in the system, so the relation between energy efficiency and secrecy constraints will be studied. The secrecy performance will be evaluated through the secrecy outage probability, which will be obtained with the help of stochastic geometry tools. Moreover, Monte Carlo simulations will be held to validate the expressions. (AU)
