Abstract

The objective of this research project is to evaluate the mineralogical variability of soils from a hyperspectral sensor applied to an airplane across different Brazilian states. Since from the electromagnetic spectrum acquired by the soil image by the sensor and mineralogical laboratory analysis, it is possible to make the correlation of the minerals. An aircraft loaded with a 600-band AISA hyperspectral sensor camera flew a stretch from São Paulo to Paraná. Along the way, points with exposed soil can be detected, which will provide field forays to collect soil samples for mineralogical laboratory analysis. By creating databases, it is possible to correlate with data obtained from AISA. From the associations, the created models will be replicated to all pixels along the aircraft's route, where it will be possible to obtain mineralogy maps at points with exposed soil. The maps obtained may be compared to existing geological and soil maps (AU)
