Abstract

How much an organization is innovative is highly connected with its results, such as its productivity, profitability, and leadership over competition. Following this thinking, employees of organizations play a unique role in the performance and even survival of the company, since they are the organizational resource with the greatest impact on innovation. In this way, a question arises: how to identify innovative people? Menold (2014) affirm that there are two measurable characteristics that can determine how innovative an individual is: creativity and individual innovativeness. Therefore, one way of inserting innovation in any organization would be to have employees with a high index of these two characteristics. In this context comes this work whose objective is the creation of a tool to evaluate creativity and individual innovativeness in collaborators of Brazilian healthcare organizations. To achieve this goal, a bibliographic approach will first be used to survey, analyze and adapt tools capable of measuring the level of these two characteristics separately in studied individuals. After that, a practical approach will be used through the pilot application of some more relevant tools in organizations of the healthcare sector in order to obtain practical data of their functioning as applicability, practicality and cohesion. At the end of these analyses, it is expected to have sufficient data to create a detailed evaluation manual of the two characteristics studied to disseminate the results of this research and assist Brazilian organizations in their journey towards innovation.
