Abstract

Ferrocene-modified or D-pi-A-modified peptides will be obtained by Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) and purified by HPLC. These molecules will be immobilized onto gold electrodes (in order to obtain self-assembled monolayers) and characterized by electrochemical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in order to evaluate capacitive and resistive behavior under different conditions (e.g. temperature and peptide size).
