Abstract Cluster states have been suggested as a quantum information resource for information processing. They may be used in quantum computation process and quantum process simulators/emulators. The challenge now it to generate and keep the entanglement in these systems along the information processing. We propose the use of cascaded optical parametric oscillators, pumped by multiple frequencies, that may lead to the coupling of pairs of longitudinal modes of the electromagnetic field. The combination of these amplifiers with our measurement techniques should demonstrate feasible configurations for information processing. (AU) | |
