Abstract

During the pregnancy period, several physiological changes occur in the maternal organism, such as increased circulating blood volume, increased cardiac output, reduced peripheral vascular resistance and increased hormonal secretions. Regarding those involving the cardiovascular system, there is intense interaction and modulation of this by the sympathetic and parasympathetic autonomic nervous system. The studies will be conducted from the data analysis of heart rate variability of pregnant women. In this sense, this research proposes to study across the implications of autonomic changes in heart rate variability in time, frequency and nonlinearity (chaos) domains, in order to establish comparative and predictive parameters that help understanding the physiological and pathological changes associated with pregnancy.
