Abstract Faced with the need to reconceptualize the school mathematical curriculum andgenerate greater meanings in classrooms, a didactic approach based on the principles ofEthnomathematics makes it possible to recognize and present the different mathematicalknowledge presente in student's daily lives in motivating didactic situations. In this perspective, the research carried out between April and December 2019, in aFAPESP project of scientific initiation by student Manoel de Souza Lamim Netto, will becontinued, under the guidance of Profa. Dr. Renata Cristina Geromel Meneghetti, case 2018 /25942-2, which took place in the context of elementary education. In this project we aim toapply this proposal in high school, in order to contribute with alternative methodologicalproposals for the teaching and learning process of mathematics also in this level of teaching ofBasic Education, from the teaching-learning methodology through the Resolution of Problems,contextualized to the sociocultural reality of the students in the effort to connect formalmathematics to the cultural context of the school community. | |
