Abstract

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that seeks the submission of the opponent through immobilizations, bottlenecks and "keys" applied to the opponent's joints. The modality has been showing a great growth in the last decades, however, it is observed that the scientific production on the fight does not follow the same rhythm, especially in terms of forms of training prescription, sports training and preparation in high performance. The objective of the present study is: to develop the motor characterization and the temporality analysis of the fights of a simulated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition, through video analysis. In addition, this study seeks to measure the internal training load and monitor the heart rate simultaneous to the fights, through the use of the behavior of this variable. The sample will be composed of 16 Jiu-Jitsu black belt fighters who belong to one of the two selected weight categories (medium and overweight). A simulated competition will be held, the fights will be recorded and analyzed for motor characterization and temporality. In addition, the behavior of the heart rate will be analyzed simultaneously to the fights and the quantification of the internal training load will be developed by means of the TRIMP method. The data collected will also serve to develop a more individualized and accurate process of prescription of interventions.
