Abstract

The objective of the project is to analyze the construction of Eva Perón's image from her roles in Argentine films produced in 1945, ie, "La cabalgata del circo" and "La Pródiga". The periodization proposed in this research includes the end of the military dictatorship and the juncture of the arrest of Juan Domingo Perón and his political campaign for the presidency of Argentina. The relevance of this study is manifested by the limitations of specific historiography about the career of actress María Eva Duarte before becoming Eva Perón. It is hoped that this work will help to deepen the study about her image, It also contributes to discussions about the figure of women in Argentina and Brazil.
