Abstract

The Brazilian agricultural industry, even with the constant programs of control of diseases and zoonoses, is still susceptible to infections by various diseases that can lead to major economic economies. Diseases affecting the respiratory tract have special attention in Brazil, as several factors related to poultry production and rearing can induce these diseases. Infectious runny nose is a disease of the tract mainly reaching the upper airway and is caused by Avibacterium paragallinarum, a gram-negative bacterium, subdivided into three serotypes, A, B and C. As affected poultry, their growth and falls in egg production (10% to 40%). Thus, early, rapid and A ccuracy is essential to avoid economic savings. One of the diagnostic methods. This disease is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) because it is a rapid diagnosis. In this project, the objectives are to standardize a PCR reaction on multiplex endpoint for detection of different Avibacterium serotypes paragallinarum. Check for presence of this agent in tissue tissues or swab of the infraorbital region of the paranasal sinuses of birds, such as its specificity. The samples to be studied were sent for diagnosis in the FMVZ Ornithopathology Laboratory - USP.
