Abstract

The urban process and the constant intervention in the natural landscape contributed to the arising of several problems in urban environments, which started presenting an unbalance in local climate elements producing its own weather. Between these problems that manifest in urban environment there are episodes of intense precipitation responsible for impacting directly on space organization, causing damage to the urban landscape, the population and the public power. Thus, this research intends to analyze the impacts of such episodes in the urban area of Presidente Prudente by using as theoretical-methodological basis Urban Climate System, proposed by Monteiro (1970). To do this it will be used meteorological data from Estação Metereológica Automática de Presidente Prudente about the period of 2010 until 2019 and also local press, in order to recognize and map the occurrences from the impacts of precipitation in the urban environment of Presidente Prudente.
