In the proposal "Mid- and far-infrared plasmonic biosensing with graphene," submitted to the FAPESP-FCT call, the team at MackGraphe (Brazil) will be in charge of preparing and testing plasmonic devices to be used as sensors, based on mid-infrared waveguides with arrays of graphene nanoribbons on top. In this scope, this research plan for a post-doctorate fellowship is aims to fabricate and characterize the mid-infrared waveguides and the graphene nanoribbon array. The researcher (to be selected) will help with the design of the structures, will be responsible for all steps of fabrication, and will take part in the optical characterization of the resulting devices.
