Abstract

Science communication assumes the role of social, cultural and of a society. In Brazil, this is still a beginning job, due, mainly to historical issues. One way out of the problem is to foster process of scientific literacy of the population, from the analysis of howpublic understanding of science happens. In a broad context, for implement scientific literacy, it is necessary to insert it into the concept of culture scientific. In view of all these spheres, it is essential to understand the current panorama science communication. Therefore, this work aims to map how the theme has been dealt with in publications, from 2014 to 2019, in five academic journals (Proceedings of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, RevistaResearch in Science Education, Science & Education, Education and Research, and Education & Reality) classified as stratum A in the Program QUALIS of CAPES. The State of the Art will be analyzed in the publications found,and the material will be submitted to the Content Analysis proposed by Bardin (2011).
