Abstract We will use integrated optical resonators made with lithium niobate (LiNbO3) and silicon nitride (Si3N4) to prepare heralded single photon states. The non-linearity of the materials allows for the creation of correlated photon pairs due toto the process of Parametric Downward Conversion (PDC) or mixture of four waves (4WM). When the material is placed inside an optical cavity, the feedback provided by the resonator enhances this process. When one of the photons of these correlated pairs correlated is detected by a single photon detector, the state of the other photon collapses to a single photon state. These states will be characterized by using Superconducting Single Photon Detectors (SSPD) and homodyne detection. (AU) | |
