Abstract

Dysfunctions in urinary eliminations may intensify over time life cycle due to neurological or behavioral changes. In this case, among the main treatment strategies, is the periodic use of urinary catheterization in the home with assistance, in most cases, from a caregiver. In this context, a situational diagnosis of care in health care networks in this process rehabilitation of the use of the urinary catheter should be started soon after the changes occur in the person's life within the framework of all dimensions of the human development. Objective: to perform a situational diagnosis of adults, children and adolescents users with urinary catheterization and their caregivers in the care network public health in a municipality in the interior of the State of São Paulo. Method: Quantitative, descriptive, retrospective and documentary studies. It will be carried out through records of users of intermittent urinary catheterization by the Municipal Health Secretary of a municipality in the interior of the State of São Paulo. Together with the Municipal Health Secretary, a survey of data on adults, children and adolescents will be performed using intermittent urinary catheterization monitored at the Health Care Networks Services in the Municipal United Health Service, through their respective electronic and printed medical records, to perform a search and selection on them. The collection of data, in the respective medical records, will be done by means of an instrument for characterizing the assistance with items about age group, cause of chronicity, type of urinary device and health actions. The predicted encoded data will be transferred to the formatted database in the Excel spreadsheets, using double typing. Afterwards, the statistical treatments of the variables will be performed.
