Abstract

Considering scientific production as a fundamental indicator for the development of a country, knowledge about the factors that can influence the academic production of researchers from public universities, in the area of health, at a time of global crisis, due to COVID-19, it can help direct efforts to improve the individual capacity of researchers and minimize the impact of other aspects on their academic production. Objective: To evaluate the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the academic production of researchers from public universities, in the area of health, in the State of São Paulo. Materials and methods: cross-sectional study, with the sending of a questionnaire developed specifically for this study, using an online tool. Health researchers from public universities in the State of São Paulo will be evaluated. A sample of 751 participants was estimated. For data collection will be applied: the questionnaire of sociodemographic and professional characterization of researchers, questionnaire of academic production of researchers, questionnaire of evaluation of scientific production of researchers related to research projects on COVID-19 and the Impact Scale of coronavirus -19. For the application of data collection instruments, an online program called SurveyMonkey® will be used, legally acquired from the register. The analyzes will be performed with the help of the IBM-SPSS v.21.0 software, considering p <0.05.
