Abstract

We will investigate the photophysical behavior of propolis from Jataí bees (Tetragonisca angustula), in solution, in solid state and, also, conjugated with halloysite nanoclays, in different pH conditions, for advanced nanomaterials development. The spectroscopic methods in solution will allow the characterization of the bioactive components of the propolis (flavonoids and coumarins) and structural changes due to their interaction with nanoclays. It is proposed here, the use of spectroscopic techniques of absorption and fluorescence for photophysical characterization, in different physical-chemical conditions, in the presence and absence of halloysite nanoclays, aiming for the study of the divergent properties of these nanocomposites.
