Abstract

Bioceramics materials are promising bone replacement surgeries, both for dental and orthopedic applications, as they have excellent biological compatibility, osteoconductivity and resorption. In this present work the objective will be to evaluate the effectiveness of scaffolds of ²-tricalcium phosphate (²-TCP) incorporate with bioglass S53P4, produced the gel casting process. The samples will be made with different materials: a) ²-TCP; b) ²-TCP incorporate with bioglass. The study will be conducted in vitro using MG63 cells. They will be submitted to analysis of the expression of genes related to osteogenesis by qRT-PCR, alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin, osteopontin, collagen 1, beta actin and Runx2 after 7 days of cell culture. The analysis of formation of monotypic biofilms will also be performed using standardized suspensions (107 cel/ml) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans on the different materials. After 24 h of incubation, the MTT test will be performed to quantify the biofilm. The values obtained both in gene expression and in the formation of biofilms will be submitted to the normality test and to the appropriate statistical test (p <0.05).
