Abstract

This Project has as objective studying the ceramical material technotypologic of the Jeriquara Archeological Site, located next to the edge of the Rio do Carmo, in the city of Ituverava, SP. This project is about a site of a group agricultural ceramist of the Aratu-Sapucaí Tradition. This project has as its goal the study of the 2231 ceramics fragments, edges, bases or grafments of the same bowl, identifying the possibilities of the Operation Sequence of production, analyzing the similarities and the differences between the ceramics of the Jeriquara and the São Luis Archeologicals Sites, also localized in the city of Ituverava and under study at the Archeological Museum of FCT/UNESP. The results will be divugated to the academy and the society, aiming to present a characterization of the ceramics of the Jeriquara Site and compare it with the ceramics of the others sites of the Aratu-Sapucaí Tradition, contribuing to the knowing of the indigenous occupation systems in the State of Sao Paulo.
