Abstract

This research project aims at determining the stable equilibrium points of PV curves for transmission power systems with DC links. The main objective is, thus, to verify the influence of the different DC link control modes in the maximum loading determination of these power systems. This research is methodologically founded on the determination of the maximum loading of transmission power systems with DC links by the continuation load flow. To accomplish this, a background review will be carried out to explicit the main concepts associated with the resolution of the maximum loading problem by the continuation load flow method and DC link control modes modeling. Numerical results will be obtained for modified IEEE test-systems with DC links commonly referred in the correlate literature.
