Abstract

This project aims to investigate the media representation of the young actress Maisa, who has spoken publicly on issues related mainly to gender equity and sexuality. Taking as a theoretical basis studies on the representation of adolescence in the media (BUCKINGHAM, 2006; DORETTO, 2015), the research turns to the analysis of journalistic materials from the generalist online and celebrities' media that have been covering the adolescent's social performance. The methodology adopted is content analysis, according to Bardin (2011), and, among the expected results, the objective is to contribute to the elaboration of a manual, aimed at journalists and communicators, on practices of listening to adolescents in journalistic production, to qualify coverage.
