Abstract

This thematic project aims to generate knowledge in order to improve large-scale forest restoration and monitoring. It is very important to understand how new forests affect people's lives, and to use it as a means to turn population into allies of forest restoration. This work aims to understand how features of vegetation (size, location, quality of new forests) impact ecosystem functions at the state level, according to stakeholders' perception. This will allow maximizing benefits provided by new forests for the population. (AU)
