Abstract

This scientific initiation project aims to understand the spatial diffusion and risk analysis of COVID-19 in two intermediard cities in the interior of São Paulo - Presidente Prudente and Botucatu. Through comparative analyzes between these two cities, and with the support of health surveillance teams in the municipalities, we will analyze and discuss the distribution of COVID-19 on an intra-urban scale based on geotechnologies (geoprocessing, remote sensing, digital mapping). For this, we will rely on mathematical and statistical models to explain and correlate key variables for understanding the spatial spread of the disease, especially in the areas of greatest vulnerability in health, environmental and social (VSAS). As a final result of the research, we will propose a risk indicator for the occurrence of COVID-19 for the cities studied, considering areas with the highest VSAS. (AU)
