Abstract

In the contemporary world, health problems have increasingly challenged public health. However, health emergencies do not await the organization of services and institutions themselves. With this in mind, this project aims to study geospatial models of infect-parasitic diseases, such as leishmaniasis, yellow fever (YF), and COVID-19. We will use socioeconomic and environmental variables present in databases available in the Brazilian and Canadian research institutions, which will be analyzed under the light of geoprocessing, geographic information systems, remote sensing, and machine learning. The spatial modeling can contribute to knowledge innovation in predicting diseases and health problems, besides helping in decision-making and rapid response to face critical scenarios of diseases, epizootics, and pandemics.
