Abstract

This Scientific Initiation project is related to the thematic project FAPESP "CoPolis - Social co-production of the city and citizen science. A comparative perspective on working class and precarious neighbourhoods in France and in Brazil". The objective of the thematic project is to promote epistemological reflection of co-production through extension practice is shared by the Scientific Initiation project, which also aims to collaborate in the process of critical evaluation of collective organizational practices, which involve academia, advisors, universities, civil society and the government in urban and sustainable housing planning, in situations of urban precariousness. Related to the objectives, the methodology will be based on the reading, analysis and systematization of the bibliography referring to urban co-production and related topics such as self-managed joint efforts and technical advice; in monitoring professional and extension technical advisory practices, mainly those developed in the study area Youth Occupations on the outskirts of the city (RMSP) - Ocupação Anchieta (SP); and in comparative analysis through the experiences shared between Brazilian and French researchers, also members of the thematic project. Scientific Initiation will allow the fellow to develop studies on the agents of space production already introduced in Culture and Extension Projects and deepen critical reflection on the possibilities of popular planning to face the inequalities placed in the territory.
