Abstract

Drawing for children and adolescents is shown as one of the ways to get in touch in a deeper and more meaningful way with the children's emotional universe. The '' Drawing of the Person in the Rain '' is a procedure of graphic expression that is based on the element of rain and its symbolic character of representing possible tensions through which a given subject goes. The procedure aims to assess how symbolically stressful situations are faced. Little known in Brazil, its real authorship is unknown, but attributed to the names of Arnold Abrams or Abraham Amchim, being widely used in other South American countries. The present project proposes an integrative literature review aiming at focusing on cases of domestic violence against children and adolescents. It aims to understand how '' Drawing of the Person in the Rain '' was used in these works, what were their contributions and results for these cases and what was the effectiveness of applying it within the psychodiagnostic with children and adolescents who suffered some violence.
