Abstract

Brazilian research on eucalyptus fertilization in the coppice system is scarce and outdated. Although the conduction of sprouting strains is an interesting technique in eucalyptus plantations, and reduces the cost of production, there are records of loss of productivity in subsequent cycles attributed to nutritional deficiency of the forestry sites. Therefore, this research, which is a continuation of the candidate's master's degree project, will be carried out in three independent experiments, the aim being to evaluate the residual levels of N, P and K, in relation to initial doses, after the first eucalyptus production cycle, and the effect of the respective nutrients reapplication on eucalyptus in a coppice system with a low fertility sandy soil in Três Lagoas - MS. The statistical design of the experiments will be in randomized blocks with 8 treatments each, arranged in a 4 x 2 factorial scheme, with five replications. Each plot will be composed of 24 plants (three rows of eight plants (180m2). In the N experiment, the plots will be the four treatments of the first cycle (Nr0: 0 kg ha-1 of N, Nr1: 70 kg ha-1 of N, Nr2: 105 kg ha-1 of N and Nr3: 140 kg ha-1 of N) and two treatments of the second cycle (Ns0: 0 kg ha-1 of N and Ns1: 160 kg ha-1 of N, in the form of ammonium nitrate). In the P experiment, the plots will be the first cycle treatments (Pr0: 0 kg ha-1 of P2O5, Pr1: 40 kg ha-1 of P2O5, Pr2: 70 kg ha-1 of P2O5 and Pr3: 100 kg ha-1 of P2O5), and two treatments of the second cycle (Ps0: 0 kg ha-1 de P2O5 and Ps1: 60 kg ha-1 of P2O5, in the form of triple superphosphate). In the K experiment, the plots will be the first cycle treatments (Kr0: 0 kg ha-1 of K2O, Kr1: 90 kg ha-1 of K2O, Kr2: 135 kg ha-1 of K2O and Kr3: 180 kg ha-1 of K2O), and two treatments of the second cycle (Ks0: 0 kg ha-1 of K2O and Ks1: 180 kg ha-1 of K2O, in the form of potassium chloride).The evaluations will be: the analysis of the soil's chemical attributes; the wood density; the leaflet and aerial parts biomass; the nutrient concentration and accumulation in the leaflet and sprouts biomass; leaf diagnosis; plant height, diameter at breast height and total volume of bark wood. Prior to conducting multivariate analyzes, the hypothesis of multivariate normality will be assessed by calculating the Mahalanobis distance, followed by the application of the following multivariate statistical methods: principal component analysis (ACP), cluster analysis, canonical correlation analysis (ACC) and structural equation modeling (MEE).
