Abstract We propose the implementation of dynamic models for predicting the behavior of a spherical object in acoustic levitation systems based on arrays of low-power ultrasonic transducers. This project involves both the implementation of numerical models as well as experimental measurements using a high-speed camera. We will also simulate the acoustic pressure distribution generated by an array of transducers and will measure the sound field using a calibrated microphone attached to a motorized 3-axis XYZ translation stage.
