Abstract

This research project analyzes the Quantum Leap Institute (Instituto Salto Quantico) and its theological proposal: the Mary Christ (Maria Cristo) thesis that reflects the demand for experiencing spirituality with updates that accompany the advances of civil-human-democratic rights. The hypotheses that guide the analysis are that the Quantum Leap Institute has a vanguard stance with its positions on gender and sexuality and that there is a flowering of an Extraordinary Marianism. At the same time, it investigates the interaction between gender and sexuality with spirituality in the parameters of contemporary democratic processes, especially with regard to the advancement of the sexual, social, and ethnic rights agenda present in the demands of the feminist and LGBTQIA+ movements. The research methodology is based on fieldwork in the digital universe, monitoring the virtual activities of the Quantum Leap Institute and bibliographic review. (AU)
