This study aims to perform genomic analysis of probiotic bacterial strains that are bacteriocins producer, that were isolated from samples of the intestinal microbiota of Cobb broilers (Gallus gallus domesticus), crossbreeds of Landrace and Large white pigs (Sus scrofa domesticus) and fish (Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, and rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss). For this, the following specific objectives will be carried out: (1) Perform genomic sequencing after the isolation and phenotypic characterization of lactic acid bacilli strains (BALs) that produces bacteriocins. (2) Perform comparative genomics by phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA and sequence type (MLST) obtained in silico. (3) Carry out the identification of bacteriocin genes through the use of different databases and bioinformatics tools such as AntiSMASH, BACTIBASE, BAGEL, BOA and NeuBI. It is expected to discover new variants of bacteriocins and their respective association with certain strains, species and ecological niches. Once the strains are genomically characterized, the project aims to contribute to the rational development of probiotic supplements for production animals. (AU)
