Abstract

Thinking about the archival changes caused by the technological revolution of the 21st century, especially those related to the development of "digital archives" (focusing on those dedicated to storing historical records about the experience of COVID-19 in Brazil), the presented project aims to produce a preliminary research investigation with the primary managers of COVID-19's digital memory collection initiatives, based on the methodology of oral history. In this sense, the research, as a meta-archival task, seeks to investigate the conditions and possibilities of making an oral history project about these initiatives. In this way, the expected result is the construction of a new object of investigation: the interviews. It is intended to record the narratives of those who participated/witnessed the construction of these informal digital archives on the memory of COVID-19 in Brazil.This research takes part in a larger project of Centro de Humanidades Digitais, at Unicamp, and will use a bibliography regarding the methodology of oral history and its challenges and particularities in the digital world, with assistance from researchers of the Center.
