Abstract

Located in the southwest of Mato Grosso, the Pantanal de Cáceres is a sub-region of the Pantanal Mato-Grossense that has a flat surface with recurring floods throughout the year and has suffered from intense fires that harm the fauna and flora. In this context, the objective of the research is to analyze the change in land use and land cover classes in areas affected by fires in the Pantanal de Cáceres in the period 2010 and 2019 via geotechnologies. For this, Sentinel-2 satellite images with a spatial resolution of 10 m will be used, use of the Google Earth Engine platform to carry out the monitoring, the results will be analyzed from the Sankey diagram that represents the transition flow of the areas over time. of the years and the thematic maps obtained from the creation by the QGis software. The study will result in results that allowed the verification of changes in land use and land cover in areas after the incidence of fires during the years of study, in addition to contributing to the monitoring of areas that are suffering impacts from human activities in the Pantanal region, and it may serve as an aid to the management of fires as well as assisting research or interventions to reduce environmental impacts.
